Market Cafe opened in Bald Knob in 1946. The old-fashioned roadside restaurant along US Highway 367 (the original path of US Highway 67) serves breakfast and lunch.

This coconut cream pie is made from scratch from an original recipe that's been used since the restaurant opened. The fluffy, almost marshmallow-style top is created with cream of tartar for its noteworthy texture. A rich coconut cream on a pastry crust and a scattering of toasted coconut on top make this a splendid diner pie. Have yours with a cuppa joe.
